Beat the winter blues with a red hot night of laughs at
Comedy Night in Chester
!
Comedienne Luba Magnus is bringing a bevy of funny friends with her to help us laugh our way to the end of winter!
Luba Magnus is a comedian, writer, director, animator, and just wants to be outside.
Originally from small-town Port Colborne Ontario, Luba began performing stand-up comedy in Toronto in 2006, and she has since become a staple in Canada’s alt-comedy scene. Her debut stand-up album Baba Luba has received critical acclaim: NPR’s Bullseye With Jesse Thorn included it in their 2022 Stand-Up Comedy Spectacular, amongst renowned acts such as Tig Notaro, Roy Wood Jr., and Jen Kirkman, describing it as “enthusiastic, warm, and weird” and “one of the rare stand-up comedy acts that features botany… heavily!” Paste Magazine listed it #10 in their Best Comedy Albums of 2022, describing it as “equal parts clever and nonsensical with her creative wordplay”.
Joining Luba are Travis Lindsay, Sam Bartol and Kyle Barnet, a trio of funny folk ready to help you laugh your way into spring!
