Forest Heights Community School presents Shakespeare's comedy about how foolish love can be.
Instead of taking place in Ancient Greece like the original play, our story takes place in 1996 in Maine. A group of teenagers ends up lost in the woods one night. Hermia and Lysander are trying to get away from Hermia's overbearing father. Helena is chasing after Demetrius, who dumped her over a voicemail and only has eyes for Hermia. A dysfunctional teen rock band is enjoying a band-bonding camping trip that goes terribly wrong. Out in the forest, where the veil between reality and the dream world is thin, creatures from the fairy realm take an interest in this silly human drama and begin to interfere for their own entertainment.
